World Scholar's Cup Competition

The World Scholar's Cup (WSC) is an annual international academic competition for students that focuses on general knowledge, debating skills, and persuasive writing. The program aims to teach students lessons that aren't typically taught in schools, and to celebrate the joy of learning.

Fifteen teams from Poorna Foundation participated in the World Scholar’s Cup Competition at Houston Reginal Round 2024 in both the Junior and Senior divisions, coached by Paresh Chotaliya, Tisha Patel, and Arshi Maniar. 

In the Junior Division, 4 out of our 6 teams auto-qualified for Global Rounds, securing 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 6th place. 

In the Senior Division, 2 out of our 6 teams auto-qualified for Global Rounds, securing 1st and 3rd place. 

Both divisions did exceptionally well, with each claiming 5 trophies.

Additionally, we had a strong presence in the Debate Showcase, with 4 out of the 6 students being from Poorna Foundation.
